6th Grade wax museum dress rehearsals start on Monday the 26th! All students need to come to school with their costumes (but not wearing them).

The end of the quarter is October 30th!

Wax Museum presentations will be held next week on Thursday the 29th and Friday the 30th. Look for an invitation coming soon!

NOTE: All 6-8 graders must have their wax museum report rough draft printed out (including the reference page) for peer editing tomorrow!

6th Language Arts: We read ch. 36 in Holes and had a smartboard lesson to go with it.

7th Language Arts: The students answered the questions (pp. 58-59) that go along with "From an American Childhood" with a partner. If they did not finish, it is not homework tonight. They will be able to finish tomorrow with their partner.

8th Language Arts: The students answered the questions that went along with "Raymond's Run."

6th Social Studies: The students practiced saying their speaking parts in front of the class today.

6th Spanish: We learned the months of the year and days of the week.

All sixth through eighth grade students need to make sure they have the rough draft of their wax museum report finished and printed out for class Friday! We will be peer-editing them that day.

6th Language Arts: Questions for chapters 29-35 of Holes are due tomorrow.

7th Language Arts: We read and discussed "From an American Childhood." Then the students had time to type their wax museum reports.

8th Language Arts: We read and discussed "Raymond's Run."

6th Social Studies: The students finalized their speaking parts with their group today.

6th Art: The students began making a list of supplies that they will need for their wax museum presentation and drawing a diagram of what their scene will look like.

7th & 8th Art: The students are finishing their advertising agency project to present next Wednesday.

6th Language Arts: We read chapters 33-35 in Holes and did another journal entry.

7th Language Arts: We practiced reading informational materials today. There is no homework.

8th Language Arts: Mr. Irigoin had the students research information about the author.

6th Social Studies: The students wrote their speaking part for the presentation on a note card.

Spelling: The students who did not finish pages 39-40 in the book have homework tonight.

6th Language Arts: We read ch. 31-32 in Holes today and played a vocabulary game on the SMARTboard.

7th Language Arts: The students need to be ready to peer-edit their reports on Friday!

8th Language Arts: The students need to be ready to peer-edit their reports on Friday!

6th Social Studies: The students need to be ready to peer-edit their reports on Friday!

6th Spelling: Lesson 6 is a review lesson, so the words will look familiar. The students wrote their words three times each.
