Happy Constitution Day!

6th Lang. Arts: We read ch. 14-15 in Holes today, studied more vocabulary words, and played a vocabulary game on the smartboard. Later in the afternoon, we had a lesson about transition words-what they are and how to use them. The students will be putting their new knowledge to use soon when they write their research paper for the wax museum project.

7th Lang. Arts: The part of the outline for the "impact" is due tomorrow. Some students finished this in class today and others took it home for homework.

8th Lang. Arts: The part of the outline for the "impact" is due tomorrow. Some students finished this in class today and others took it home for homework.

6th Social Studies: We celebrated Constitution Day by reviewing the information at http://www.usconstitution.net/constkids4.html. I then invited the students to enter a poster contest. This is totally optional but would be a fun project for those who are interested.

6th Spanish: We had so much fun today learning colors!
